Alfredo C. Valverde Reyes passed away on February 21, 2011, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on November 8, 1941 in Cbaco, Nicaragua, to his parents Leopoldo and Olga Maria Valverde. Alfredo brought his family to the US in 1982 to escape the civil war in Nicaragua.

Alfredo had a strong commitment to his family and could always be counted on to be a helping hand. He was a loving and supportive Father to his children and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed giving candy and toys to all of his grandchildren. He will be missed by the whole family.

Alfredo is survived by his wife Isela Valverde, his Children Alfredo & Kathy Valverde, Khessler Valverde, Guisselle & Spencer Schwarz, Leopoldo & Kimberlie Valverde, Wilton Valverde, Elena & Michael Zau and Geoconda & Jerry Folwarski. He also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

As a young man, Alfredo served in the Merchant Marine and traveled near and far by sea. He always loved the ocean and very much wanted to have a burial at sea. We are honoring his request and his memory by coming together on the afternoon of March 5, 2011 to perform his funeral service by scattering his ashes at sea.

Alfredo will forever be remembered by all the people he touched through his life.
